Robert "Parker" McFarland, Jr. has been a resident of Cumming, Georgia for virtually all of his life. He was born in 1975, graduated from South Forsyth High School in 1994, graduated from Covenant College in 1998 with B.A. degree in English, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2001, although he also attended the University of Georgia during his final year. Parker married his wife, Nicole, on September 15, 2006 and they have attended Browns Bridge Community Church since its inception in 2006. More information on Parker and Nicole can be found here.
Parker is a fourth generation lawyer and has been practicing with his father, Robert "Bob" Parker McFarland, Sr. at their firm, McFarland & McFarland, P.C. since he first became licensed in 2001. He is experienced in handling criminal cases with a focus on DUI and drug cases as well as catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases both at the trial court level and on appeal. Parker has received extensive training in the field of DUI and has been completed the following courses through NHTSA/IACP which are identical to the training given to police officers: Standardized Field Sobriety Testing in 2004, Drugs that Impair Driving in 2008, and the Drug Recognition Expert Overview Course in 2010. Parker is a past president of the Forsyth County Criminal Defense Bar Association. Additionally, Parker is a member of the following associations:
