Near historic Fort Morgan, Alabama, a 22 mile peninsula, with the Gulf of
Mexico on one side, and Mobile Bay on the other. There are stores and
restaurants nearby, and two golf courses just right down the road.
Gulf Shores, Alabama is less than twenty minutes away, for a
night on the town or some extended shopping. Gulf Shores has everything that
Fort Morgan doesn't; Nightclubs, Outlet Malls, Multiple Restaurants, Water
Parks, Gift Shops, Mini-golf, more Golf Courses, and much more. The best
part is, at the end of a busy day in Gulf Shores, you can retreat back
to the peacefulness of Fort Morgan and your private beach house.
The house is situated right on the wide, white sandy beach, yet there are
no crowds or honking car horns here. Fort Morgan is a quiet place, without the
hustle and bustle of the busy tourist destinations. This is the peaceful life,
the way beaches were meant to be. The beach is never crowded, and the gulf
waters are warm.
The Fort Morgan Historic Civil War Fort and Museum, is only a few minutes
away, and the guides and re-enactors provide wonderful insight into the history
of the area. Learn about the 1864 Union vs. Confederate battle
for Mobile Bay and Admiral David Farragut, who coined the phrase "Damn
the Torpedoes; Full Speed Ahead!" during a battle here. For
more information, call 251-540-7125.
If you want to be on the water, the Fort Morgan Marina is nearby, which
provides full service marina facilities on the calmer waters of Mobile Bay.
Here, you can charter a boat, or just buy bait and cold drinks.
For daytrips to Dauphin Island, Fort Gaines, Mobile, or Biloxi, the
